Aileen Chou, P.T., D.P.T. is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Pittsburgh, where she is training in the field of health services research with her advisor Janet Freburger. Her current research focuses on caregiving for older adults, quality of rehabilitation care in the acute care setting, and disparities in rehabilitation care. Dr. Chou has over eight years of inpatient clinical experience working at large academic centers where she led several quality improvement initiatives. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University and her B.S. in Psychology from Stony Brook University. In her leisure time, she enjoys hiking and camping with her husband and cats.
