Overview

For researchers focusing on Medicaid data, navigating the new T-MSIS Analytic Files (TAF) is a learning process. While the TAF data represent a significant improvement in quality and usability compared to the retired Medicaid Analytic eXtract (MAX), they remain highly complex, with varying data quality issues across states, eligibility categories, and data elements.

This 60-minute webinar focused on the fundamental steps for getting started with TAF and best practices for efficiently working with the data. Showcasing the expertise of TAF researchers from the Health Care Cost Institute and Oregon Health & Science University, along with ResDAC’s technical experts, the webinar was designed to provide key insights for new, and experienced users of the data.
