Mary F. Brunette M.D. is Professor of Psychiatry, Community and Family Medicine, and The Dartmouth Institute at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Dr. Brunette is also the Medical Director of the Bureau of Mental Health Services in the Department of Health and Human Services of New Hampshire. Her career has involved clinical care, service administration, policy and research investigating causes, consequences, and treatments for individuals with complex mental health, substance use and social determinants of health comorbidities. Several key areas of her research include developing tailored digital interventions for smoking cessation for Medicaid beneficiaries with mental illness and studying reverse integration for behavioral health and primary care in Medicaid beneficiaries. Her work has been funded by the NCI, NIAAA, SAMHSA and HRSA to carry out research, implementation, and training. She has received awards for teaching and public service and has authored over 175 scientific articles and book chapters.
