Margot L. Schwartz, M.P.H. is a doctoral candidate in health services research at Brown University. Her research goals are to evaluate and improve publicly reported information about health care quality, integrate information that is important to patients into quality measurement and reporting, and understand the way patients make decisions about their health care to facilitate more informed decision making. Prior to coming to Brown she worked at RTI International developing quality measures and implementing quality reporting programs on behalf of CMS, and conducted patient safety and quality research in Boston area hospitals.
