Dr. Guy Weissinger, M.Phil., Ph.D., RN is an Assistant Professor at Villanova University. He originally trained as a mental health counselor and then trained as a nurse and researcher as a Hillman Scholar in Nursing Innovation at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Family Intervention Science at Drexel University, with a focus in suicide prevention. His research uses a health equity lens and mixed methods approaches to understand complex problems in healthcare systems, with a focus on suicide prevention, family-centered care, and the intersection of mental and physical health concerns
