Erika Meza, M.P.H., is a doctoral candidate in Epidemiology and Translational Science at the University of California, San Francisco. Her research interests center around socioeconomic, racial, and ethnic health inequities in cognitive health. Currently, she is working on a study which evaluates the role of intergenerational education on cognitive function and the risk of dementia among White and Latino older adults. Her work is supported by the National Institute on Aging. Prior to starting her doctoral studies, Erika worked as a Policy Analyst at the RAND Corporation. She received a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Loyola Marymount University.
