Andrew M. Ibrahim MD, MSc is the Maud T. Lane Research Professor of Surgery, Architecture & Urban Planning at the University of Michigan. He spent six years a Senior Principal of the global design and architecture firm HOK, before dedicating his full efforts to the University of Michigan where he is a practicing general surgeon and Co-Director of the Center for Healthcare Outcomes a Policy(CHOP). CHOP is among the largest health services research centers in the country with >$35 million in active funding and twelve R01 extramurally funded scientists. Dr. Ibrahim’s own research at the interface of health care delivery, policy and architecture if funded through R01s from the NIH and AHRQ.
