Dr. Goudie is the Director of Research and Evaluation at the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement. He holds a primary academic appointment in the Center for Applied Research and Evaluation in the Department of Pediatrics, College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a secondary appointment in the Department of Health Policy and Management in the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health where he teaches a PhD course in Advanced Methods for Quality and Outcomes Research. His current focus is lead evaluator on the Arkansas Section 1115 Demonstration Waiver Evaluation for the Health Care Independence Program (“Private Option” since renamed to Arkansas Works). His research interests include studying causal etiology of childhood BMI and obesity trajectories and the associated sequelae and costs associated with obesity. He also serves as principal investigator on active academic big data projects linking multiple longitudinal databases for life-course policy and outcomes research.
