This project is funded as part of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s solicitation “Policy-Relevant Insurance Studies” (PRIS), which supports studies that address the macro and micro effects of policies related to health insurance. The goal of this project is to provide evidence on the long-run consequences of coverage to state policymakers considering Medicaid expansion. Using administrative claims data from Utah, the researchers will estimate the causal impact of the state’s Medicaid waiver on utilization and health outcomes for two low-income treatment groups and two control groups.
