To better serve our community, AcademyHealth is upgrading its database and financial system in mid-January. Here’s what this means for you:

1.      Our systems will be offline for the first few weeks of 2024.

In preparation for launch, our systems will be offline for the first few weeks of January, which will result in a slight delay in membership processing. If your membership is set to expire in January, please consider renewing your membership prior to the end of the year.

Please note that abstract submissions will not be affected by this pause and will continue normally. Information on the Annual Research Meeting Call for Abstracts can be found here.

2.      Users of the previous system will be prompted to reset their accounts.

Are you a current or former AcademyHealth member? Have you attended an AcademyHealth event in the past three years? If the answer is yes, you have an account within AcademyHealth’s backend financial system (even if you are not currently a member). The upgrade will require all users to reset their password. All users will receive an email with instructions on how to do this in mid-January. Don’t worry if you miss it. AcademyHealth will send follow up emails as well as publish instructions here on our blog.

3.      A better user experience.

As a replacement for the current system for registering for events and processing membership dues, this technology upgrade will provide a more streamlined process for both. The new system also makes “self-service” easier. You can update your profile information, communication preferences, and interest areas whenever you like.

We look forward to serving you better with our new system! If you have questions, please contact us at info@academyhealth.org
