AcademyHealth, the leading national organization serving the fields of health services and policy research and professionals working to improve health and health care for all, is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as its next President & CEO following the departure of Dr. Lisa Simpson in February 2024.

Building upon the organization’s extraordinary platform and history, the next President & CEO will take the organization to new heights through a bold, yet nonpartisan approach to collaboration, a proven ability for strategic direction setting, and above all, an unwavering passion for moving scientific evidence into action.
The next President & CEO will also strategically drive a shared vision, maintain and strengthen community relationships, and serve AcademyHealth’s many constituents. They will also report to and work closely with a 17-member Board of Directors and partner with staff, committees, councils, scholars, experts, members, and policymakers. Together, they will generate new evidence on health system strategies to improve access, cost, quality, and equity as well as help guide the organization’s priorities, ensuring programs and initiatives are effective long-term.
