This brief highlights efforts in the United States and beyond to produce “rapid evidence reviews,” or reviews completed faster than traditional systematic reviews in order to inform time-sensitive policy decisions. In addition to describing existing rapid evidence review programs, this brief examines the strategies these program employ to make their evidence reviews responsive to policymakers’ needs. This brief was produced with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as part of the Translation and Dissemination Institute’s Rapid Evidence Reviews project.
