While we encourage online registration, if you are required to register by hard copy, please use the individual form and email to registrations@academyhealth.org.

Rate Descriptions and Criteria


AcademyHealth Member Rate
To qualify for the member rate, you must be an AcademyHealth member in good standing. If you are not an member and would like to take advantage of the reduced member rate, join AcademyHealth.

Government Rate
Government employees must register using their .gov email address. To qualify for the government agency rate, you must be employed by a federal, state, or local government agency (not valid for government funded or government-sponsored organizations/universities).

Developer Rate
Early stage/funding startups may request a discounted registration fee for up to 2 individuals. To request the developer rate, email registrations@academyhealth.org, providing a brief background on the company and its objectives/products, funding stream(s), and any additional relevant information.

  • Must be approved for the developer rate prior to registering.

Patient and Patient Advocate Rate
We have a reduced rate for full time patient advocates. Please email registrations@academyhealth.org and tell us the name, mission and website of your organization for the reduced rate. A limited number of scholarships will be offered to support patient participation at the Health Datapalooza.

Group Rate
Five or more registrations submitted from the same organization receive the discounted rates for conference registration.To qualify, all registrations must be submitted at the same time. To request the group rate, email registrations@academyhealth.org.

Registration Fee
Registrations will not be processed without proper payment. Read the registration payment policy. AcademyHealth Tax ID Number: 52-1260918

Receipts and Confirmations
Detailed receipts are available upon request. If you would like one, please send a request to registrations@academyhealth.org. Payment receipts will be sent to the email address provided on the registration form.

Cancellations
All cancellations must be received in writing or via email by January 13, 2020 in order to receive a refund, less a $100 processing fee. Registration fees will not be refunded after January 13, 2020 or for inclement weather situations. Registration fees for cancelled registrants may not be applied to future AcademyHealth meetings.

Substitutions
All substitutions will be assessed a $50 processing fee. Substitutions will be accepted only once per registrant and must include written notification from the original registrant and a completed registration form for the substitute participant. If a non-member substitutes for a member, the non-member rate applies. Requests should be sent to registrations@academyhealth.org.

Special Needs
Persons with disabilities or special needs should indicate any special requests during the online registration process or on the registration form, or send a description of any services needed to specialneeds@academyhealth.org.

Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather, the Health Datapalooza will not be cancelled unless the Marriott Marquis closes. AcademyHealth is unable to issue refunds for cancellations due to weather.

Photo and Video Release
From time to time we use photographs or video of conference participants in our promotional materials. By virtue of your attendance at the 2020 Health Datapalooza, AcademyHealth reserves the right to use your likeness in such materials.

**Hotel and Attendee List Scam**
We have been notified that scammers may be targeting our meeting attendees, sponsors, and exhibitors, attempting to sell attendee lists and solicit bookings at unauthorized hotels. AcademyHealth does not rent or sell email lists to third parties, with some exceptions consistent with accepted practices for most professional societies. See our privacy policy to learn more.

Please be aware of any messages coming from sources not affiliated with AcademyHealth. Avoid interaction with them. Valid emails come from @academyhealth.org or @academyhealth.mmsend.com.
 
Attendee Lists

  • No third party is authorized to distribute or sell any lists related to our events.
  • Statements claiming to offer our attendee lists are fraudulent.
  • We do, however, publish a list including full name and organization of all meeting attendees (no email address). This is only available on the AcademyHealth website.

Hotel Bookings

  • AcademyHealth does not have an official housing vendor and never sells contact information for our registrants to third parties.
  • Any emails or calls claiming to be booking hotel rooms on behalf of AcademyHealth are fraudulent.
  • All attendees traveling to one of our conferences should book their room or confirm the details of their stay with the conference hotel directly using the link and phone number on the conference hotel and travel page.

AcademyHealth Code of Conduct
AcademyHealth is committed to providing a safe, hospitable and productive environment for everyone attending our meetings and events. We are committed to providing a harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, religion, disability, physical appearance, or other group identity. As such, AcademyHealth prohibits intimidating, threatening or harassing conduct during or in connection with our meetings and events based on these and any other protected characteristics under applicable federal, state or local law. This includes but is not limited to stalking, intimidation, unwanted or inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual attention, harassing photography or recording, and sustained disruption of events, as well as encouraging any such behavior by others. This prohibition applies to all participants, including attendees, speakers, staff, exhibitors, and volunteers. If an individual engages in any prohibited behavior as described in this Code, AcademyHealth reserves the right to remove the individual from the meeting or event without warning or refund, prohibit attendance at future AcademyHealth meetings and events, notify the individual’s employer, and/or take other disciplinary action against the individual and his/her employer. Retaliation for reporting prohibited behavior under this Code is considered a violation of this Code, as is reporting an incident in bad faith.
