Rate Descriptions and Criteria
AcademyHealth Member Rate
To qualify for the member rate, you must be an AcademyHealth member in good standing. If you are not an member and would like to take advantage of the reduced member rate, join AcademyHealth.
Government employees must register using their .gov email address. To qualify for the government agency rate, you must be employed by a federal, state, or local government agency (not valid for government funded or government-sponsored organizations/universities).
Early stage/funding startups may request a discounted registration fee for up to 2 individuals. To request the startup rate, email firstname.lastname@example.org, providing a brief background on the startup and its objectives/products, funding stream(s), and any additional relevant information.
- Must be approved for startup rate prior to registering.
Patient and Patient Advocate Rate
We have a reduced rate for full time patient advocates. Please email email@example.com and tell us the name, mission and website of your organization for the reduced rate. A limited number of scholarships will be offered to support patient participation at the Health Datapalooza. Click here to receive an alert when the application is posted.
- Must be approved for patient rate prior to registering.
Five or more registrations submitted from the same organization receive the discounted rates for conference registration.To qualify, all registrations must be submitted at the same time. To request the group rate, email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Receipts and Confirmations
Detailed receipts are available upon request. If you would like one, please send a request to email@example.com. Payment receipts will be sent to the email address provided on the registration form.
All cancellations must be received in writing or via email by February 26, 2019 in order to receive a refund, less a $100 processing fee. Registration fees will not be refunded after February 26 or for inclement weather situations. Registration fees for cancelled registrants may not be applied to future AcademyHealth meetings.
All substitutions will be assessed a $50 processing fee. Substitutions will be accepted only once per registrant and must include written notification from the original registrant and a completed registration form for the substitute participant. If a non-member substitutes for a member, the non-member rate applies. Requests should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Persons with disabilities or special needs should indicate any special requests during the online registration process or on the registration form, or send a description of any services needed to email@example.com.
In the event of inclement weather, the Health Datapalooza will not be cancelled unless the Washington Hilton closes. AcademyHealth is unable to issue refunds for cancellations due to weather.
Photo and Video Release
From time to time we use photographs or video of conference participants in our promotional materials. By virtue of your attendance at the 2019 Health Datapalooza, AcademyHealth reserves the right to use your likeness in such materials.
