Mr. Kennedy began at HCCI in June of 2015. In his role as researcher, he performs data manipulation and statistical analysis on HCCI’s vast commercial claims dataset, co-authoring published articles and reports on a wide array of topics. A majority of his focus has been on geographic price variation, including his work on projects like the Healthy Marketplace Index (HMI) and the National Chartbook of Health Care Prices. His research has also explored emergency room price and use trends as well as consumer-driven health plans, among others.

Mr. Kennedy received his BS in Economics and in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
