Overview


To provide AcademyHealth members with a unique glimpse of the year ahead—based on the progress made thus far in 2018—a few of AcademyHealth’s Board of Directors and staff will convene for the annual Meeting of Members webinar. This year, the featured speaker, Emily Holubowich will provide an overview of how the outcome of the midterm elections may impact health services research and health policy.

Dr. Lisa Simpson will kick off the webinar with an overview of what lies ahead for the health services research and health policy fields. She will also addres how AcademyHealth is navigating the climate in Washington, D.C.

Craig Thornton, treasurer, will review the organization's finances and activities from the year. Angelica Rodriguez will review membership information and summarize how AcademyHealth is acting to meet member needs. Lucy Savitz will provide an update on AcademyHealth’s advocacy initiatives. The webinar will then focus on the featured speaker, Emily Holubowich, detailing how the 2018 midterm elections may affect the fields of health services research and health policy.
