Susan Haber is a health economist at RTI International with more than 30 years of experience in health policy research, especially evaluations of Medicaid, Medicare, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. Drawing on qualitative and quantitative research methods, as well as both primary and secondary data collection and analysis, Dr. Haber is an expert in the analysis of large administrative data sets related to federal health programs and the health care market.

Current projects for Dr. Haber include a study of Accountable Health Community Model a nationwide initiative to address social determinants of health for the Medicare and Medicaid populations – and a meta-evaluation of state Medicaid substance use disorder demonstrations. She has also conducted extensive research on Medicaid eligibility expansion, the Medicare and Medicaid dually eligible population, and patient-centered medical home and disease management programs.
