Dr. Ray Van Cleve just completed his PhD in Health Policy and Management at the University of Pittsburgh where he focused on Medicaid services for elderly individuals and how those services can potentially prevent hospitalization. Ray got a very broad education at the University of Pittsburgh and was able to research many different aspects of public health including polypharmacy, prescription drug policy, health economics, health insurance policy, long term care, innovation in health care, information technology in health care, and disability policy.

Prior to matriculating to the University of Pittsburgh, Ray earned a master’s of information systems at Robert Morris University and  worked as a software developer and project manager at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh PA and spent nine months in Haiti working in partnership with a non-profit in La Croix Haiti.

Dr. Van Cleve is a 2019 Academy Health Delivery System Science Fellow. His host site is the Department of Veterans Affairs in West Haven, Connecticut.
