Lynn Whitener, Dr.P.H., M.S.L.S., holds an undergraduate degree in sociology, a master of science degree in library science, and a doctorate in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH). She was the librarian for the Cecil G Sheps Center for Health Services Research at UNC-CH for 25 years.  While there, she worked with the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and AcademyHealth to create HSRProj and HSRR.  Since 2006, she has served as President of Information Packaging LLC to provide research and editorial services to public and private sector clients, including RTI and the University of the Danube.  Dr. Whitener is a Senior Consultant to NLM for issues around health services research and public health.

Developed with students and faculty in mind, the session helps students understand the field of Health Services research (HSR) and introduces resources to support coursework and independent research projects, with step-by-step instructions.
