Jayesh Patel is a graduate student currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Health Services and Outcomes Research at School of Pharmacy in West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. Jayesh also holds a master’s degree in biotechnology from NYU Tandon School of Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from India. Before starting the Ph.D. program, Jayesh spent three years in an oncology lab working as a research assistant at Weill Cornell Medicine, New York NY. He worked there towards better understanding of the pathophysiology of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and pre-clinical testing of drugs to improve available treatment modalities. Jayesh has presented his work on opioid use related economic and humanistic burden at national conferences. Jayesh’s current research interests include health services research, pharmacoeconomics, health economics, and patient-reported outcomes.
