Dr. Fakeye is a health services researcher with focal interests in payment and delivery innovation, health care disparities, and implementation science. As a senior policy analyst at The Hilltop Institute, he evaluates the impact of statewide public health policy on the population insured by Medicaid in the state of Maryland. His work assesses health and expenditure outcomes of programs targeted to individuals with chronic medical conditions, substance use disorders, and other high utilizers of health services. Previously, Dr. Fakeye was a research coordinator at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute, where his work centered on inpatient quality of care, and determinants of child abuse incidence.

Dr. Fakeye received a master’s degree in quantitative methods in the social sciences from Columbia University, and a doctoral degree in health policy and management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His dissertation paper won the Student Poster Award at the 2019 AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting.
