Allison Squires, PhD, RN, FAAN is the 2019-2020 Distinguished Nurse Scholar in Residence at the National Academy of Medicine where she serves as an expert advisor to the committee working on the Future of Nursing 2020-2030 consensus report. Her primary academic appointment is an Associate Professor at Rory Meyers College of Nursing, New York University with a secondary appointment as a Research Associate Professor at NYU’s Langone School of Medicine. Dr. Squires’ expertise centers on global health workforce capacity building and improving immigrant health outcomes. She has consulted for the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, the World Bank, and the Migration Policy institute.
