Dr. Matheson is an epidemiologist at Public Health—Seattle & King County in the Assessment, Policy Development, and Evaluation unit, and affiliate instructor in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Washington. His work includes analyzing population data to identify health needs in King County, developing visualizations to make data more accessible, and linking data across sectors. Dr. Matheson has several years’ experience working at the local health level on program evaluation, policy development, and public health informatics. He obtained his PhD from the University of Washington, where his research focused on childhood fever in a resource-limited part of western Kenya.
