Integrating Primary Care and Public Health: Implications for Health Workforce

The need for integrating primary care and public health is widely recognized. However, neither sector is equipped with a practical guide to integration. To address this need, the de Beaumont Foundation, Duke Community and Family Medicine, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have developed a new tool – “A Practical Playbook: Public Health & Primary Care Together”. Incorporating input from stakeholders, the interactive tool navigates users through the stages of integrated population health improvement, offering helpful resources along the way. This webinar explored the new toolkit and its implications on the health care workforce. Faculty: Perri Morgan, Ph.D., PA-C, (moderator); J. Lloyd Michener, M.D.

Learning Objectives: Provide an overview of the Practical Playbook Understand the need for public health and primary care integration Discuss potential strategies for integrated population health government.
