The Guide to Community Preventive Services: Developing an Evidence Base for Public Health
January 11, 2006, 2:00 - 3:30 pm ET

The Guide to Community Preventive Services is a product of the Community Preventive Services Task Force, which makes recommendations for the use of population oriented interventions (i.e., interventions performed in communities or health care systems that are delivered to groups of people). Recommendations are based on the evidence gathered in the rigorous and systematic scientific reviews of published studies conducted by the Guide’s review teams. This audioconference will feature leaders of the Task Force on Community Preventive Services, and will focus on:

  • Setting the stage for evidence-based public health;
