Materials
Each chapter is provided free start-up materials for distribution to prospective
chapter members. These materials include copies of HSR, Health Affairs,
AcademyHealth
Reports, membership applications, and membership brochures.
Web-based
Services
Upon request from the chapter, space will be provided on the AcademyHealth
Web site for chapter news and updates. This enables chapters to gain recognition
for their respective university programs and chapter activities.
AcademyHealth
will promote and list student chapters and related academic programs on
the AcademyHealth Web site. Links will be provided to the program’s
home page and to the chapter Web site, if available. It is the chapter’s
responsibility to provide AcademyHealth with accurate URLs.
Career
Services
AcademyHealth hosts student-focused career activities at its National
Health Policy Conference, held each January, and its Annual Research Meeting,
held each June.
AcademyHealth’s
Web-based career center lists health services research and health policy
positions and internships throughout the United States.
Networking
and Mentoring
AcademyHealth works with its student chapters to develop mentoring opportunities
where students can meet with health services researchers and health policy
professionals.
