Join key policymakers and researchers for a dialogue about conflicting incentives within Medicare and Medicaid. David C. Grabowski, Ph.D., Harvard Medical School, will describe features of the current system that produce conflicting incentives and their impact on the provision and financing of long-term care. His policy solutions to better align these two programs will be discussed by a distinguished panel that includes Kathleen Gifford, J.D., Principal at Health Management Associates and former Indiana Medicaid Director; Mark Miller, Ph.D., Executive Director of Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC); and Steven Tingus, M.S., C.Phil., Deputy Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE), Office of Disability, Aging, and Long-Term Care Policy.

The Building Bridges 2008 Policy Seminar will be held in conjunction with AcademyHealth's 2008 National Health Policy Conference in Washington, DC. Separate registration for the policy seminar is required.
