Overview

The Health Information Technology Interest Group encompasses health information systems used in health care delivery and management. The Group focuses on the use of health information technology to improve the quality and reduce the cost of health care. Group members share an interest in health information technology issues such as using technology to support patient-centered care, develop disease management tools, enhance the coordination and continuity of care, identify beneficial uses of the Internet, and assist in the timely collection of data.
