AcademyHealth's Board of Directors announce the release of AcademyHealth's Ethical Guidelines for Managing Conflicts of Interest in Health Services Research. The report is intended to serve as a resource for preventing and resolving conflicts of interest that arise in health services research and policy analysis. The guidelines provide a framework for addressing the unique needs of our field and are designed to generate dialogue among researchers, organizations, public and private funders of research, and journals.

AcademyHealth strongly encourages the field to consider the guidelines as a tool to foster an environment of consistently ethical behavior and to build consensus regarding the proper management of conflicts of interest in health services research.

For further infomation on this topic, visit Ethical Guidelines for Managing Conflicts of Interest in Health Services Research Curriculum Module.
