Exclusive Networking Opportunities:
The ARM program features several networking opportunities, including these two designed just for students (open to all—no additional registration necessary):
Meet-the-Experts Student Breakfast
Sunday June 24 | 8:00 a.m.-9:00 a.m.
Meet informally with nationally known health services researchers and health policy professionals. This breakfast event is a great opportunity to ask questions, get career advice, and hear from experts in an informal setting.
Student Networking Event
Monday, June 25 | 7:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Co-hosted by AcademyHealth and the AcademyHealth University of Florida Student Chapter, this annual networking event brings together students and young professionals in health services research and health policy. Meet and mingle with your student colleagues.
Career Development:
The Annual Research Meeting provides students and professionals of all levels the opportunity to meet researchers and leaders in the field, enhance professional skills with methods workshops, and become immersed in the latest research on health care delivery and the impact of policy.
Career Coach (Mentor) Program
In an effort to give up-and-coming health services researchers a more personalized experience, the ARM features the chance for students to be paired with a Career Coach—an established health services researcher who acts as a one-time, on-site career mentor. To request to be matched with a career coach, please contact Jenn Masters by June 1 with your name, contact information, degree program, and research area of interest. The program is open to students and junior researchers.
