Conveniently located
near the center of Atlanta's business district, the hotel is near dining,
entertainment and shopping. Hotel amenities include an onsite fitness
center with a sauna, steam room, and racquetball court, business center,
complimentary weekday newspapers, data port, coffee maker, iron/ironing
board, and dual phone lines and voicemail in the guest rooms.
Hotel Reservations
To obtain the discounted conference rate, make your reservations at the
Renaissance Atlanta Hotel Downtown by November 19, 2003, and notify the
hotel that you are attending the Bioterrorism workshop. For those who
wish to extend their stay in Atlanta, the hotel has agreed to offer this
rate to workshop attendees from December 7 - December 14, 2003, on a space
and rate availability basis. All reservations must be accompanied by the
first night's room deposit or guaranteed with a credit card. Reservations
must be cancelled by 6:00 p.m., Eastern Time, on the day of arrival in
order to avoid one night's charge. Persons with disabilities should inform
the hotel of any special services that are required.

Single/Double - $109 plus tax (currently 14%)
Check-in/Check-out
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and check-out time is 12:00 noon.
Taxis and Ground Transportation
Taxis and Atlanta's subway service, MARTA, are available at the Hartsfield
International Airport. Transportation services are located at the Ground
Transportation Center near baggage claim. Taxi rides to the hotel are
about 30 minutes long and one-way rides cost $25.
The MARTA subway ride
takes about 20 minutes and costs $1.75 per way. MARTA has conveniently-located
stations at the airport and across the street from the Renaissance Atlanta
Hotel Downtown. The Airport Station is located at the west entrance of
the terminal complex, near other transportation services in the Ground
Transportation Center. You may purchase tokens at the MARTA RideStore,
located at the entrance to the Airport Station. The tokens (or exact fare)
should be dropped in the subway car's fare box, near the driver. MARTA
trains arrive and depart every eight minutes. The airport is the final
stop on the South Line. Take it toward Five Points, and continue on the
North Line to the North Station. Exit at the North Station, across the
street from the hotel.
Parking
Self-parking is available adjacent to the hotel at $12 for 24-hour parking,
with in and out privileges. Valet parking is available at $17 per day.
Directions
From Hartsfield International Airport, take I-75/85 north to Exit 249D
(about 11 miles). Turn left onto W. Peachtree Street, and the hotel is
