Sara Rosenbaum
Sara
Rosenbaum is the Hirsh Professor of Health Law and Policy at the George
Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services and
directs GW's Center for Health Services Research and Policy. During 1993-1994,
Dr. Rosenbaum worked for the White House Domestic Policy Council, where
she directed the drafting of the Health Security Act for President Clinton.
Prior to that, Dr. Rosenbaum worked at the Children's Defense Fund in
Washington, D.C. She began her career as a community legal services attorney
in Vermont and California.
In addition
to her research and academic leadership activities, Dr. Rosenbaum serves
on numerous public and private organizational boards and committees, including
study committees of the Institute of Medicine. She received The Robert
Wood Johnson Foundation Investigator's Award in Health Policy Research
in 2000 and was named one of America's 500 most influential health policymakers.
Dr. Rosenbaum is a recipient of the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services Achievement Award for distinguished national service on behalf
of Medicaid beneficiaries. |
