Thomas Blount is a Research Assistant at AcademyHealth where he supports a number of projects. His responsibilities include managing the growth of the Health Services Research Projects database, providing logistical support to the Education, Methods & Data, and Corporate Councils, and facilitating fellowship programs. Prior to joining AcademyHealth in November 2017, he worked as a communications and data intern at the Food Research and Action Center, where he studied the impact of federal nutrition programs on local communities. Thomas graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy.
