Dr. Jordan is Associate Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Preventive Medicine in the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (NUFSM). He is also a Research Health Scientist at the Hines VA Center of Innovation for Complex Chronic Healthcare. Trained as a health services researcher and health economist, Dr. Jordan’s research focuses on identifying high value services and systems of care for persons with complex chronic illness. He is a long-time member of AcademyHealth (AH) and the AH Behavioral Health Services Research Interest Group. His research has been funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality, National Institutes of Health, VA Health Services Research & Development, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the National Institute of Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research. Dr. Jordan directs Northwestern’s Health Sciences Integrated PhD Program (HSIP), which includes a health services & outcomes research track. He is a member of the Curriculum Committee for Northwestern’s MS in Health Services & Outcomes Research, where he has taught the popular introductory health economics course for over a decade. Dr. Jordan is also a member of the Executive Committee for Northwestern’s Integrated Post-doctoral Fellowship in Health Services & Outcomes Research. He is a lead member of NUFSM’s Mentor Academy, which conducts mentor training for faculty & post-doctoral fellows across NUFSM. Prior to joining the Northwestern faculty in 2004, Dr. Jordan was a faculty member at the University of South Florida. He received his doctorate in Health Services Research, Policy, and Administration from the University of Minnesota.
