Liz Koechlein is a former Senior Research Associate at AcademyHealth, and was responsible for outreach, maintenance, and marketing for HSRProj, an online health services research database funded by the National Library of Medicine. Her role included providing logistical and program support, conducting research and analysis, and managing daily tasks related to HSRProj.

Before joining AcademyHealth in April 2015, Ms. Koechlein worked as a Research Analyst at the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD). Prior to UNRISD, she worked at the Rutgers University School of Social Work. Ms. Koechlein has a Master of Public Policy from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Urban Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University.

Trends in Urban Health Services Research (HSR): Priorities, Gaps, and Collaborations

With input from Big Cities Health Coalition (BCHC), AcademyHealth staff used the National Library of Medicine’s Health Services Research Projects in Progress (HSRProj) database to review trends in urban health services research (HSR) within participating BCHC Cities to explore the nature of HSR undertaken in these cities, and whether there is collaboration in research among these cities.
