Dr. Wright is Assistant Professor in both the Department of Health Management and Policy and the Public Policy Center at the University of Iowa. He holds a Ph.D. in health policy and management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.S. in health policy from George Washington University, and a B.S. in biology from the University of Georgia. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in health services research at Brown University. He teaches courses on the U.S. healthcare system and health policy analysis. His research interests include federally qualified health centers, primary care and emergency medicine, disparities in health and healthcare delivery, and health politics and policy. His research has been published in Health Affairs, Medical Care, Health Services Research, the Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law, and the American Journal of Public Health.
