S. Anthony (Tony) McCann

S. Anthony (Tony) McCann serves as Associate Administrator/CFO at the Department of Health and Human Service's Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).  He formerly served as Secretary of Health & Mental Hygiene for the state of Maryland . Mr. McCann has served as senior health analyst & division leader, Committee on the Budget of the U.S. Senate; Assistant Secretary of Management & Budget, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services; Assistant Secretary for Finance & Planning, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; staff director, Subcommittee on Labor, Health & Human Services, Education & related agencies of the Appropriations Committee, U.S. House of Representatives; and commissioner, President’s Task Force to Improve Health Care Delivery for Our Nation’s Veterans.

Mr. McCann was an instructor at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University; a research technician, Executive Department, Onandaga County, New York; program director, Health Programs, National Association of Counties; deputy director, American International Health Alliance; and director of financial affairs, Smithsonian Institution.

Mr. McCann received his B.A. in government and M.S. in political science from Syracuse University.
