Deborah L. Edwards
Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Edwards joined AcademyHealth (previously Alpha Center) in May 1997. She is responsible for directing the financial management and human resources functions and overseeing the information technology and meeting operations functions. She is the staff liaison to the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors. Ms. Edwards has 20 years of combined finance, administration and non-profit management experience. Prior to joining AcademyHealth, she served as Controller for the American Sociological Association (Washington, DC); the Director of Finance and Administration for the Economic Policy Institute (Washington, DC) and the Director of Finance and Administration for Cleveland Public Radio (Cleveland, Ohio). Ms. Edwards earned her B.A. in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh (1985), and her Masters in Accounting and Financial Information Systems from Cleveland State University (1994).
