M. Campion, M.B.A. Mr. Campion is a Director at AcademyHealth in Washington, DC, where his oversees a variety of health policy and technical assistance projects. He is project manager for AcademyHealth's contract with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), DHHS, to develop integrated "knowledge transfer" strategies that increase the uptake and use of health services research findings by state and local officials, health care purchasers, and health systems leaders. He co-directed the Networking for Rural Health Project, (1998-2003), a $3 million initiative to strengthen the rural health care infrastructure, funded by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). Other major projects have included, the AHRQ User Liaison Program (1989-2004), the RWJF-funded State Initiatives in Health Care Reform program (1991-98), Alternative Rural Hospital Models Project (1992-95), and Health Care for the Uninsured Program (1989-91). Mr. Campion joined the Alpha Center (predecessor to AcademyHealth) in 1989.
