HSRProj: Search the Database
To conduct a quick search in HSRProj, enter one or more term(s) into the query box, using quotes for multi-word terms or phrases. Choose one of three search options: Search All Fields (default), Search Investigator, or Search Supporting Agency. Below, find step-by-step instructions on how to perform basic and advanced searches.
Basic Searches
- Search for projects using the Search All Fields option:
- Enter the term or phrase into the query box (i.e. cancer).
- Results will display all records of ongoing or current projects investigating issues related to the search term.
- Search for projects by investigator:
- Enter the researcher's last name into the query box and select the Search Investigator search option.
- Results will display all records for all the research the investigator is currently conducting or has recently conducted.
- Search for a supporting agency:
- Enter the name of the agency in the query box and select the Search Supporting Agency search option.
- Results will display all records in the database funded by the specified supporting agency.
Advanced Searches

- Click the Limits hyperlink underneat the title on the HSRProj homepage.
- Enter a term or phrase into the query box.
- Select limit options to apply appropriate paramters to your search. Options include:
- Latest update
- Initial Year range
- Final Rear Range
- Project Status
- States/Territories
- Click Search.
- View Results.
