Roundtable: Health care systems around the globe are attempting to shift clinical decision-making to a more patient centered approach, often described as shared decision-making. Patient decision support interventions are an important adjunct that can facilitate shared decision-making, which are supported by a growing evidence base. But broader implementation of decision support interventions in clinical practice remains in its infancy. The panelists will discuss requirements to implement patient decision support in practice, major implementation obstacles, and potential solutions, and the role of health policy in facilitating these changes.
